Parelkar Ovalekar Parpia (P.O.P Architects), founded in 1967 by Mr. Khanderao Parelkar, Mr. Krishnarao Ovalekar, and Mr. Akbar Parpia, quickly gained a reputation for excellence in industrial, banking, and commercial architecture. Over time, despite the dissolution of the original partnership, the firm retained its name for brand recognition, eventually rebranding to P.O.P Architects for streamlined communication.
Krishnarao Ovalekar, the sole steward after the partnership's dissolution, led notable projects such as the Local Head Offices in Bhopal for the State Bank of India. His legacy is continued by his son, Mandar Ovalekar, who graduated in 1983 and successfully blended tradition with modernity.
